Great Grandma's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Delicious cookies made with Organic 100% Whole Wheat Pastry Flour derived from soft white winter wheat
1 C butter (2 sticks)
1 C brown sugar
1 C white sugar
2 organic eggs
1 1/2 C Sunrise Flour Mill Organic 100% Whole Wheat Pastry Flour made from soft white winter wheat (or try a combination of flours including oat -see blog entry under combining flours). I have successfully used 100% whole oat flour as well.
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 t vanilla
3 C Sunrise Flour Mill Organic Flaked Oats
1 C chocolate chips
1/2 C nuts (optional)

Combine all ingredients in order, mixing well after each addition. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
